Insights come from the notes in each project. There is nothing to set up beyond capturing.
Compass reads across them
On a schedule, Compass reads your recent notes and writes insight cards: patterns, connections, warnings, opportunities, contradictions, milestones, and the goals your notes have gone quiet on. Tap Generate new insights for a fresh read any time.
Swipe through the deck
Swipe right to keep, left to dismiss, or up to chat about it. Buttons do the same. A card carries a suggested action when there is one.
Talk it through
Chat opens a thread that starts from the insight. Compass answers with your profile, your goals and your latest notes in view.
Act on the keepers
Kept insights stay under Kept. From there, chat again, or tap Draft this to turn one into a post.

The honest limits
- Insights need material. Expect them to sharpen after a week or two of notes.
- They are an AI's read of your notes: prompts to think with, not verdicts.
- Chat reads your ten most recent notes plus the insight or memory it started from. For older material, use search.

Questions
How often do new insights arrive?
Compass generates insights for each project on a schedule and sends a Daily Insights notification on the days and at the time you choose in Settings (Monday, Wednesday and Friday by default). You can also tap Generate new insights.
What happens to insights I ignore?
Each project keeps its 20 newest open insights. Older ones you never kept or rated are dismissed automatically, and you can restore any of them from Dismissed.
Can I chat about an insight?
Yes. Swipe up on the card or tap Chat. The thread starts with the insight as context.
Do insights change my Memory?
No. Memory is built from your own words only. An insight never writes into it.
Are insights kept per project?
Yes. Each insight belongs to one project and is generated from that project's notes.
