Is Limitless shutting down?
As of September 22, 2026, Limitless has not announced an end-of-service date. It stopped selling the Pendant on December 5, 2025, when it announced that Meta had acquired the company. It made the Unlimited plan free for existing customers and ended recording in its desktop and web apps. On December 5, 2025, Limitless also said it would support existing Pendant customers throughout 2026. On the same day, the service stopped in the EU, the UK, Brazil, China, Israel, South Korea and Turkey.
What happened to Rewind?
Limitless said the Rewind app is sunsetting, and that its latest update disables all screen and audio capture starting December 19, 2025.
Can I export my Limitless data?
Yes. Limitless says you can export or delete your data at any time, and its Help Center explains how to request an export from the web or desktop app. In the regions where the service stopped, Limitless gave users until December 19, 2025 to download their data before deleting their accounts. Export before you switch tools, whatever you move to.
Is Compass a wearable like the Pendant?
No. Compass is an iPhone app. You start a recording yourself, either a quick voice note or a conversation in conversation mode, so it only captures what you choose to capture. If hands-free capture from a wearable is what you want, Compass is not that product.
