Common Questions

How much does Compass cost?

Compass is in early access. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial, then $9.99 per month (or $99 per year). Public launch pricing will be $19.99 per month. Early access members keep the $9.99 per month rate for as long as their subscription stays continuously active.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and select Compass. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid the next charge. Refunds are handled by Apple, so contact Apple Support for refund requests.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from inside the app under Settings › Account. You can also email [email protected] and we will process the request within 30 days.

How do I export my notes?

Compass exports your notes as plain Markdown from inside the app, so your writing stays readable in Obsidian, Bear, or any text editor.

How is my data handled?

Notes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored as ciphertext. To provide AI features, note text is decrypted in memory and sent to the AI providers listed in our Privacy Policy, which process it solely to return your result. We never sell your personal information.

How do I sign in?

Compass uses Sign in with Apple. There is no separate Compass password to remember or reset. If you cannot sign in, email [email protected] and we will help.

How do I report content or behavior in the community feed?

Use the report control on any post in the community feed. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior, and we review every report. You can also email [email protected].
