Questions founders ask
I have a cofounder. Can we share a workspace?
No. Compass is one account per person and projects are personal. When your cofounder needs a note, share it or export it as Markdown, JSON or PDF.
Can Compass record customer and investor meetings?
Yes, in person on your iPhone with Conversation Mode: speakers separated, names you confirm, and action items tied to who said them. Ask for consent first. It does not join Zoom or Google Meet calls.
Will it write my investor update?
No. It gives you the raw material: search by meaning across the month, notes filed under Metrics and Finances, and each weekly review's What moved and What stalled. The email is yours.
I run two companies. Can I keep them apart?
Yes. Make a project for each. Insights and memory stay inside their project, and the folder menu switches between them.
Is my fundraising and cap table thinking safe?
Notes are encrypted at rest with a key for your account. Mark a note Private and it is never drafted into a post, and Lock Note puts it behind Face ID. It is not end-to-end encrypted: notes are decrypted in memory to run AI features, by the providers the Privacy Policy names.
